SLP Lids differences?
What is the difference between the 98-99 and 00-02 SLP lids? The one I have doesn't fit worth a crap. Just thought they may be molded different. Anybody got an idea?

the newer ones have a small hole in the side for a hose to run to the AIR pump. If you do not have and AIR system on your car, it's useless and needs to be plugged. They are all molded the same tho and should fit any stock throttle body.

i'm guessing you mean the hood hits the top of the lid? you need to make sure everything is completely flush from the throttle body to the lid. if that doesn't work, grind down a little of the lip on the maf so the lid fits better.

Actually the fit issue is with the filter base. It acts like the lid is to small and won't go all the way down. The clamps are in a bind more than normal. It fits the MAF fine and it doesn't hit the hood. I guess I'll take the heat gun to it. Thanks for the help.

I find this is the issue with most aftermarket lids. The airfilter is in the way and its hard to get the clamps to clamp down .... you just have to keep budgeing it until it snaps.
