Default LS6 heads with Torquer v.2?

How do you guys feel about the PRC LS6 Stage 2.5 heads with a TSP Torquer v. 2 cam? I'd like to be making somewhere above the 400 whp range. Also any input for this cam in a daily driver? I have a second vehicle for work, but still drive my car about 8000k miles a year so I need a set up to be some what DD friendly. I know everyone has different ideas on what is considered tolerable for daily use, but I like to hear some of your thoughts.

I'm running the Torquer V2 cam and putting down 387 to the wheels. I plan on getting some LS6 head soon so I hope to be at least at 400. Lets hope more people respond to his thread because I'm very interested as well about dyno #'s and DD usage

With a proper tune & those heads you should easily make over 400whp, I would say around 420. I plan on gettin some new heads over the winter & having the car ready by next spring, so I have been trying to decide what would be best. PRC 2.5 LS6s are pricey & for a lil extra, I am thinkin AFRs or Trickflow 215s would be the way to go. Honestly, all 3 are very close & the good thing about the PRC 2.5s is you can run stock rockers. Its a tough decision but if youre gonna do it, might as well go with some ported heads from a reputable vendor.

should make over your 400hp goal no problem.

those heads flow well, and increase compression.

what's the rest of the car...trans...bolt ons?

i'm 410hp/372tq with those heads and cam along with a bbk intake, full exhaust, bolt ons and supporting hardware. if you have full bolt ons and exhaust and an ls6 intake, just the cam only should put you over the 400 mark as long as its a good tune

The Stage 2.5 LS6's will do very well with the TorquerV2 and without breaking the bank! With a 6 speed car, and even the budget headers and such, 400rwhp should be no problem at all!

Let us know if we can help! I have one set of the Stage 2.5 LS6's in stock and ready to go today that would work with that camshaft with no wait time since another customer changed his mind after his heads were done and went with the aftermarket casting PRC head!

I made 411hp with a set of valve job, milled (11:1), non ported 243 heads with a custom 224 cam. I also am running heavy 17" wheels, heavy LS7 clutch, LS6 intake, ebay headers, and no underdrive pulley. I will be adding an underdrive, fab 9" and a ported fast 78mm intake this winter. Hope to see 415-420hp through the 9".

It ought to scream. Get TSP to sink your valves and shave your heads.
