Default rear end

If I. Swap my stock rear end for a moser 9inc h wit 3 73 gears how much will that help my 1 /4 mile? If a anything cuz wit my taxes I wanted to do it....

There was a guy on here who posed that he picked up something like half a second in the 1/4 mile. I think he picked up so much as a result of not having to worry about breaking it. Bob

It will be stronger down low with the steeper gears,you will lose a about 10 hp threw the bigger rear end though and its heavier to.But its well worth it for the shear factor that you no it will takre what ever you throw at it.

My moser 9" is awesome, make sure it comes with motive gears and if you aren't happy with any noises coming from the rear take it back until you are happy. That is why it is worth the $300-$400 for your local high preformance shop to do the install! My 9" doesn't make a sound on the highway (with 4:11 gears),And I dump the clutch close to redline at the track with nitrous and slicks from time to time.It costs a little more than a 12 bolt, but well worth it!
