Bad day at the track

: The car isnt much at all...full exhaust,intake,ls7 clutch, suspension, MT's, etc. The track was sticky for sure. so now im looking at getting a steel driveshaft, any thoughts? The Stock LS1 DS sucks.
It's not made for Drag Racing.
Stock weight is too heavy to really try putting foot to *** at the track.
The DS was the fuseable link in your drive line, at least you didn't blow the 10 bolt.
I love my Denny's 3" Steel Nitrous ready DS.
That is all.
i just figured it would last longer then what it did. the car is a 98' with only 40k, would there be any other reason for it to break?

WS Sick: "anyone got a vid. of me snapping the driveshaft? id love to see it"
I figured I'd post it up for you as soon as I got a chance. Did you not want it posted? I'll take it down if you like.
This is a situation where it has nothing to do with power, it has to deal with the Force being applied to the driveline, Like originally said, your DS is the fuseable link which let go before more damage could occur.
With a dead stop, a heavier race weight and the force being applied the DS tensile strength was insufficent to keep from breaking/snapping.

I'm outta town when they're going to Byron over the weekend, wanna borrow my helmet. I swear it's not jinxed
This is the PST driveshaft I recommend and use myself. There is an option for either the 10-12 bolt length or the 9 inch. Bob

carbon shafts are available for the f-bodys. they are custom made to order at your specific length. carbon is a great material, but due to the weight of these cars we really don't recommend the carbon shafts, especially in the higher powered cars.
