turbo system
I have about finished my turbo install, I have a question about the MAF and MAP Sensors. I intend to run 10 to 12 lbs. I installed a 2 bar MAP sensor. The MAF is in question. Is the MAF in the boost stream [original location] or does it need to be moved in front of the of the turbo? Do I need to run 1 bar or 2 bar MAP sensor? I need to sort this out before I go to the tuner.

Yes people are using speed density tunning. IMHO its better than a maf, maf can get all oily and screw up readings. A 2 bar map wont gunk up like a maf, and the tune is done right it will be a screamer. You have a choice to run a maf or speed density. You must replace the pipe to the maf with a straight pipe. Or u can run the maf in the standard location from waht sts uses.

I vote for speed density as well on this application. One major issue with running with a MAF is that if the MAP sensor fails, you will get all sorts of weird intermittant fueling. Where as if you are running in SD and the MAP sensor fails, it will be obvious as the car will barely run at all.

OK Thanks, that clears up that issue, will my stock ecu handle 10 lb's of boost? I have been researching the Mega Squirt unit and may be a future option. I would prefer to use that as a future option at least until the money tree has another crop.
Man you guys are making serious power with your cars Outlawz I looked at your profile, How did you get your car down to 3200+ everytime I take something off I seem to add back something heavy, 9'', frame connectors, roll cage I am still at 3600+

Go to camaroz28.com under the forced induction tab and there is a how to on how to run 2 bar on a stock computer.
I ran maf 1 bar 8psi and made 583rwhp...just work with your PE tables if your using the maf.
