ss3800 break-in period q's
Ill be finishing my install of my new tranny, ss3800, & tranny cooler tomorrow. What kind of break in times should I follow for the converter before I drive it like normal (which is slightly harder than john force)??

Yank claims a break-in is needed for the linings on the lockup clutch and say they will not warranty the converter if you don't break it in properly.I guess it's possible to glaze the linings,I don't know how else they could tell if the proper break-in was done.I'd just avoid hard launches for a 100 miles or so.

I've been told by numerous sources a 100-150 mile break in is a good idea. The first 5-10 miles should be spent just driving the car and checking the fluid anyway.
I'd err on the side of caution. Taking it easy for a day or two can't do any wrong
