I hate stupid people....
So the weather has been kinda crappy here for about a week (snow cold ice)
Going to lunch the other day, Driving the V since its my daily (snow is less then 2 inches) leave the gas station after grabbing something to drink, pull up to a stop sign wait for traiffic to clear and as i am about to pull forward * BAM* some stupid bitch in a mini van plows into the rear of my V....
Worse part was she was a transfer from ALASKA you think they would know how to drive in the freaking snow....
Luckly the damage wasn't to bad looks just to be the rear bumper corner. taking it to her insurance adjuster on Tuesday then to the Caddy dealer for repairs on Wednesday... will post pics later..

Sorry to hear about it. Always seems to happen in bad weather.
Just make sure the dealership checks it out really well and make sure your body panels line up correctly when she comes back. My vehicle didn't visually appear to have a lot of damage aside from the exhaust, but behind the bumper things are busted up. I guess I'm saying in my opinion these cars can absorb a lot of impact.
Hope you're not injured. Good luck with the claim.

I hope everything goes well and gets fixed up perfectly again.
That is cool that you are stationed @ Ellsworth. My dad spent most of his 21 active duty years at Ellsworth and I have been around Rapid most of my life and also went to the School of Mines from 2000-2005.
I will be trying to set up a CTS-V meet sometime next summer for the SD, WY, CO, (and any other close V guys) to meet on a road course near the Denver area and have a V track day. I will post on here and cadillacforums.com to let everybody know the date way in advance.
There are not a lot of Vs around the Mountain states. I have only ever seen one other V in Rapid City and one in Gillette where I live (and he had out of state plates), so it is cool to find out about other people with Vs that are relatively close. I love B.S.ing about these cars and talking mods, etc.

For reference I was rear ended on the way into post. It dented the bumper cover and cause paint striations (sp?). State Farm gave me $400 and said the body shop would just fix the bumper cover and repaint. I haven't gotten it fixed yet so not sure if that is gonna cover it but at least its a reference for you.
