oil pressure jumped to 64-66psi while cruising??
just as the title says...i had just gone to go pick up some food and on the way back on the highway i noticed my oil pressure was steady at 65psi.....it definately was not like this early in the day. Its the stock oil pump. Normally it is around 40-44psi while 6th gear cruising and 60psi at WOT. I dont know if somthin could be clogged in the pump, which i dont know how it would be...i change oil regularly and use the same oil everytime. OR if its the sending unit giving me an off reading...this sucks im supposed to take a 10hr drive tomorrow

You're engine is shot. You're pushing it too hard. You need a rebuild. Too much blow by. You're loosing alot of power. That's a huge sign your engine is on the outs.
Sorry about your BIG problem.

appreciate the sarcasm ...discovered the sending unit was on its way out the door. It just hadnt completley failed at that time. I was beginning to think the valve in my oil pump may have gotten stuck. Glad its just the unit.
