Default Having a problem with a 2nd gen iroc-z

It's at one of my commercial customers shops and he's stumped, It's got a brand new fuel pump and ecm he said he's got spark f/p and the injectors are pulsing right. What could it be do the 2nd gens have a roll over switch. He's actually on the 2nd ecm because the 1st one he got from us was used, I highly doubt that the other ecm is bad has well. I didnt even check our computers to see how many different ecm options there where. If theres more then one then the likely hood that he bought the wrong one. How many different ecms are there for the 89 irocs? It's got a lt1 so I dunno anyway get back to me guys so I can get back to him either tommorrow or monday.

it's got an LT1 motor??? that'd prolly need a different than stock computer anyway...so i highly doubt a '89 iroc ecm would work at all with an LT1 motor.

also, that'd be a 3rd gen, not a 2nd gen.

if my memory serves me right, there were difference between engines. a 305 wouldnt work for a 350, i believe there were only a couple of choices on the box but the main choice was the eprom. did you save the old one, it should have numbers on it. you could get a aftermarket eprom from one of the tuner company's, but i am pretty sure they will need the number and if not at least the vehicle equipment and engine size rear ratio and such. if you go to a dealer they would need the vin number.
