if you ever run slicks and hit the strip... the 9 inch is the way to go. 12 bolts are good rearends, but why take the chance.

OK, 9" is the popular choice. Now I just need to find one for about $1,500...

look in the classifieds on here, they sell pretty often

no way for a complete...

i can get ya a new fab housing, axles, torque arm and crossmember for that. a new posi center section by itself for the 9" is about 1000-1200.

Moser 9 inch housing, axle and bearing package with torque arm mount. $1,000.00 shipped. All you need is to find a junkyard center section and you can have a decent rear for $1,500.00. Bob

I went with a 12 bolt. If its gonna be a track car only go 9''. A 12 bolt is plenty strong. A 9" takes more power to use. I`ve seen a 12 bolt hold for years at the track with 6k clutch dumps on slicks. But a 9" is a stronger rear-end. Will hold lots of HP.

oh, you can use stock rear disc with a moser 9"? i always thought you would have to get something aftermarket.

Well, I have not confirmed that yet, but on the TSP site when I was ordering it, they gave you on opion window for "what brake setup", stock, Willwood, Baer... So, I'm just assuming you can use stock rears with the moser 9

If it's a Moser, it will bolt right in. About the only thing you will have to worry about will be mounting the swaybar.
