Default Diff is leaking...how bad $$?

I'm taking my 05 V to the dealer tomorrow because the diff is leaking. Best case scenario, it's just a gasket...but it could be much worse, I know. The car is out of warranty. Does anyone have any experience with diff replacement costs if the case is damaged?

Default Rear?

I work for a dealer and we usually just see the pinon seal leak on those rears so it shouldnt be a problem!!

Wasn't there a recall on the rear diff pinion seal? If the original owner of the car didn't get that done, Mercutio should be able to have it done, right?

I think the recall involved cars built prior to October or November '04. The reason I say this is that mine was built in Nov '04 and isn't covered.

It is currently leaking.

There is also a TSB for the diff vent. I think on mine they replaced the hose and vent.
