Default pre 01 headers on an 02

Hey guys,

I'm looking at buying a set of mac mid lengths and Y pipe for my 02. Im pretty sure these headers are off of a 99. So they have the EGR fitting and A.I.R

I plan on keeping my car emissions legit so I am just wondering if these headers will fit fine on my 02....because 02 cars didnt have an EGR.

Thanks!
Dean

You can use them. You'll just need to cap off the EGR port on the headers (threading a bolt in the hole works just fine), and if memory serves me correct you'll need to get a set of the older AIR tubes. It's been so long since I've put an A.I.R. system back on a car, I hardly remember.

But yes, you can use them. Before you put them on port the primaries, and after their installed have a competent exhaust shop take off the ball flanges and weld on 3bolt flanges. This helps the MACs perform nearly identical to a longtube.
