Buying a used FAST intake

Buying a used FAST intake
Anything I need to know to look for?
Apparently all it comes with are the screws for the valley pan. What else am I going to need to buy?
Don't think it will, but for the time being will my stock TB work? Assuming I will need to buy a new one for the intake once I get a few more bucks.
Thanks

Your TB will work if you are buying a 78mm FAST, but I doubt you are. You will want to get something to match up properly with that intake being a 90/92/102mm, or whatever it is since you didn't state. Make sure you do replace those valley bolts because the stockers will crack the bottom shell of the intake when you go to bolt it down.

I still find it hilarious that even when we spend a grand on a new FAST intake ... we still have to either pay or spend time porting the ******* thing to utilize its full capacity......it makes no sense.

you can use egr on a fast intake, need to cut out the hole on top of the intake opening.check if state emissions require a egr,if not have frost delete it,no cutting into the intake.to port a fast intake use a dremile tool with the right bits.bbk intakes can be better ported ,removable bottom plate.but any alum. intake suffers from heat soak.

I've all ready programmed out the EGR system and plugged my current holes, so I'm not too worried about that.
Anyone have any more info/reviews of that other intake vs a fast?
Planning on purchasing a 402 or bigger next year. Wanted to do it now, but I don't have 10k sitting around to do it all up properly. Figure I may as well get some supporting mods outta the way first.
Still curious on the coolant pipes and gaskets. Anyone got an info on those things?
Thx

fast will work better on bigger motors.will not cost too much for bigger more cube motor$3000-4000 for great shortblock.use ls6 coolant tubes for front and back ,run coolant connecting hose over or around the intake.or tap back head coolant holes for AN fittings and lines.LS6 intakes are good for 475 hp rwhp.

Cool, thanks for the pics. They have it on TSP's site as a kit for like 60 bucks, I was just curious if I needed to get the kit or if I could rig it up myself.
If you can get some more pics of everything that would help a lot.
Thanks man
