Intake Question If I purchase a ls1 intake will everything from my truck intake work on it to keep it cheaper or should I purchase a complete unit. I would like to retain the return style fuel rail but no biggie.

Just to clarify - is a performance gain your goal in swapping from a truck intake to the LS1 intake? Or is it because the truck intake is big and ugly...
I recall quite a few years ago Car Craft or Hot Rod tested the truck intake, LS1, LS6 and FAST. The truck intake was a better performer than the LS1 and actually was not not too far behind the LS6. Maybe try a search on the internet and you might come accross the article.

I would suggest trying to get your hands on an LS6 intake. You can probably get one for around $300. That would be a better choice than the LS1 - it won't hold you back as much down the road when you make future mods..... good luck!!
