Default gauge cluster question

I want to know how can I send a 12v current to a unmounted gauge cluster. I want to find out how many miles it reads but I don't want to take mine out then install this other one. Thanks, John

Its not that simple, you cant just give it 12v. Its really easy to swap clusters though... probably your only option
