Takes all the impurities off the paint finish, particularly metal chips from brake dust etc..before ya wax.

Ever notice how the paint feels kinda like sand paper on the quarter panels behind each wheel if there has been inclement weather and you havent washed the car in a while? Even after you wash the car, it still feels rough. Well, claying will remove these contaminants and make the paint feel as smooth as glass again, plus you wont see that grit anymore.

It is a night and day difference after using a clay bar. You won't believe how smooth the paint gets. Just make sure you take your time and knead the bar often or you could scratch the paint. Oh yeah, make sure you have some time to spare because it is a lengthy process. Well worth it though.

I clayed both my 99 SS and my 2002 SS right off the truck. Made a big difference, even new cars have alot of crud on the surface.
