Default Who has the best price on complete 5.3's?

Well my roommates LT1 just kicked the bucket. I had a spare LT1 from when I put my built motor into my car. So I am going to stick said LT1 into their Z28, but originally it was slated to go into my 88 Silverado. Now I'm contemplating putting a 5.3 in it. These typically are the cheapest yes? I would need everything, oil pan to intake, accessories, wire harness, PCM. I need a transmission too. Who has the best prices? I am about a hour North of Tampa.

If you are looking to buy new crate, Scoggin-Dickey seems to be the best. A used one could be had from multiple wrecking yards; we have LKQ up here in Gainesville.

Hmm yeah shooting for used, not planning on a huge budget for this thing. If it gets too out of hand I might as well sell it and pick up a 2000 Silverado, even though I love the way the 88 looks.

I think there is a LKQ in Citrus county also, maybe I will call them first. I just always see posts on tech where people are like complete with everything and its like $600-700, for the motor and such, then I suppose I will have to shop around for a transmission.

Yeah I'm just trying to get a idea. I think I'm going to attempt to build my first short block instead. I guess my friend decided to trade me his dead LT1 and his good 4l60e from his Formula for the good LT1 I'm sticking into their Z28.
