Default Slower times at Las Vegas Motor speed Way

I know times here in Vegas are a little slower than Californias times or other places but how much slower? Also what SHOULD a stock 2000 SS run in this altitude with decent driving?

I would be happy with a 13.5 at 105 but it all depends on DA, tires, and driver.

YEP! Lol I'm teh suck at launching an M6... but once I get out the hole I can shift ok... no powershifting for me though! Edit: oh but I didn't have the strano swaybars or the SFCs so I weigh a bit more now than I did then... dam hope I don't go slower next time LOL

hlaalu - EXACTLY! My best is a low 2.2 too. Ugh I hate LVMS but for some reason it's the only drag strip I ever make it down to lol. Test n tune days can be awesome though. Hotlap to ur hearts content in early in the day and towards the end.

Years ago during the SLP appreciation event I ran a 13.22 @105 in my 01 SS A4 stock gears, stock F1's, stock converter. I had Hooker LT's , ASP pulley, Lid, and Maf. At LACR if had run 13.30 @104.5 a week earlier ( later I'd beat that with a 13.20 @ 105),
when I dropped 108 lbs ( interior delete option) the car ran 12.95 @ 107 ALL night long at LACR .
A week later I ran a 12.6 ! 111.3 at Carlsbad. I think LACR and Vegas seemed close in ET.
When the car was close to stock( lid , maf) it ran 13.47 @ 104 at LACR and 12.96 @ 107.6 at Carlsbad- again with stock tires, converter, gears.
In that trim ( mild) it ran 13.11 @ 107 at Bakersfield ( poor track conditions).

I would've liked to have learned the car BONESTOCK but I was in a hurry to get into the 12's. I was really surprised to get into the 12's at LACR without tires , gears or converter. When I finally did I had 10 12 sec. passes and the slowest run was a 13.003 !!! That would be the only 13 sec slip that night-- what a car... I can kick myself for selling it.

Incidently I had a 1.96 60 ' at Las Vegas, a 1.98 at LACR, and a 2.03 at Carlsbad.... I had trouble hooking at Carlsbad, with a better 60' I would've been in the mid-high 12.40's with a strong mph like I had( 111.3).

Alot of factors will change your time, DA and alititude are big ones.

For those not happy with your 60 fts are you trying to run with your front swaybar still on? It really makes a huge difference.

test n tune is usually a night that the track is open for anyone to come and test their car and get it tuned for what they are shooting for or just for fun.

All that weight on the front end has to come off sooner or later. Most stockish cars run high 13s @ low 100s.
