what size is a stock SS exhause pipe?

Default what size is a stock SS exhause pipe?
hey guys, im away from my camaro right now and need to know the diameter of the stock SS camaro's exhaust pipe. I am putting a cutout in and need to know the diameter right before it bends over the axle. 3"? 3.5"? thanks

**correction- on a 1998 LS1 Super Sport.

get a 3" cutout. My stock ss i pipe is 2.75" where it meets the y pipe and then goes to 3"

The i-pipe is 3in. SS cars came with 3in exhaust. Like mentioned, a 3in cutout is what you want.
