ashtray delete project *update/finished page 2*
So i decided to do some interior paint work and while im at it Im going to smooth down the ashtray cover, fill in the seams and make it a flush surface with the rest when its all said and done. I don't really ever plan on having switches in there and I haven't seen anybody else do this so I figured I'd give it a shot. Here's the start!

not tough at all.. remove the (1/4") bolts that are actually in the glove box area.. then it lifts/pries up and pulls away from the radio area... the shifter **** has a U clip in the front of it, just pry that away with a screwdriver, leave the car shifter in the Drive position or you won't be able to get the center console off.. Then after the Uclip is off pull the T-handle up and then you should be able to slide the console right off. just watch out for anyw ires still plugged in like the gear select indicator and also the cigarette lighter

I put way too much epoxy stuff on it, and its giving me a problem sanding it down to where I want it,but i'm gunna try to finish that part tonight and then spray it tomorrow. There wont be any isntalled pics for a while becuase I ordered an LED light strip to go underneath the gear select, and I can't install cause im going back to school
