Stereo keeps cutting out. Any help?

Stereo keeps cutting out. Any help? Hey guys just bought a 2000 z28 with the sock monsoon system. It seems to cut out every now and then somtimes whenat WOT and sometimes just at high volumes. If I continue driving after 5-10 mintuea it will turn on again? Is it just a bad ground and if so where would it be? Any others having this problem?
