Default some engine bay handywork :D

had some time on my hands and this is what resulted:

had the intake manifold off and cleaned it up, filled behind the throttle body, highlighted the runners with yellow pearl spent apprx 5 hours there.
the intake lid spent another 5 hours on. cut out the center, placed some clear plexi yellow pearled the outside and mouth, custom made graphics to paint the birds on. strut tower brace is simple black and yellow pearl by the towers, then a yellow pearl bird that will have my build numbers on it soon.
all on a CETA
enjoi

Wow looks great man, very creative idea. I painted my air lid awhile ago and it definitely is a nice touch for the engine bay.

and to think the previous owner did this **** to it!!!!

how do you guys stop the lid from coming in contact with the stock hood?

I have an SS (2000) and the nose always rubs on the lid. So when I open the hood, I have white rub marks on my lid (car is white). For that reason alone I wouldnt do anything nice to my lid ( I have the SLP lid which is perfect for me seeing as the SLP is embedded WHITE and my car is White)

PS good job guys

there's rubber stoppers that you can adjust to keep the hood further away from the lid when closed.. I didn't do this at first and I ended up making the mark on my air lid as you can notice in the first pic

Looks great!

Heres your pics (I hate having to click on them)

all you do on phtobucket is move your mouse over them and select Direct Link, then on here click on the picture button (mountain and moon) or just do , but without the space inbetween.

I like the lid, but would have done it a little different. I would have gotten a clear lid, then painted it with a pheonix sticker in place, then removed the sticker so that the clear area would have been of just the pheonix. That's just my opinion. I love the color scheme.

thats the way i wanted to do it to but when you have a lid that you got for free and some plexi laying around this is what happens

I totally understand. Money talks, and free can't be beat. I was just tossing out a thought.
