Default 2nd Gen Fbody owners with Ls1 come in please.

Well since I'm finally going to get a hold of some money and time, hopefully, I need to start buying some suspension parts to get the project rolling. I know I need all the bushings for the body and some suspension components that are going to be reused.

So my question to you guys is what type of springs and shock are you guys using when swapping the aluminum LS1 since its lighter (assuming) than the stock iron 301?

What if I was to use a 5.3 or 6.0 LQ4? What is the weight difference between these and the original 301 that was in there?

What about the brake setup? Should I just get new rotors and pads or should I upgrade to something like LS1 fbody sized rotors and what is needed for this upgrade?

Give Pro-Touring F body a call. I got all my suspension stuff, minus the Detroit Speed control arms from them. I believe his name is Dave and he'll take care of ya.

Stance kicks *** on my car as well...

I guess I need a better paying job. Cool stuff though, but no money.

Cool

Well finally got the ls1 with the t56, just what I wanted plus some extras. Anyways, so what kind of springs and shock should I use? I was checking out Summitracing a few weeks ago and saw some 2.5 or 3in lowering springs and some edelbrock shocks since they were at a reasonable price and was just wondering if they would work ok since there is going to be a lighter motor in there.

Also, since the guy gave me the crossmember and steering rack and all, made me wonder if I can use any of those parts to upgrade my braking system since they are there already. Any info on this?
