Default Has anyone tried covering center console

Has anyone tried covering their center console in leather, vinyl, suede, or anything, other than painting? Please post pics.

just the part where the shifter comes through or the hole thing including the rear seat cup holders.

i remember seeing one that did the bottom part cause the rear cup holders looked a little rough.

im getting ready to get mine done but i deleted the cup holder and ashtray

im going to in the next few months, top will be carbon fiber, the "door" will be black vinyl, and the sides will be red diamond stitched suede or leather, most likely leather or i should say vinyl since its a high wear area. Also, since i'm covering it anyway, im going over the entire thing with a coat of fiberglass because its is the squeakiest most rickety thing on my car, i hope to make it rigid and more secure, so that when it moves it wont squeak

Check this thread out. Go through the whole thing, the first attempt at the console wasn't so good, but his end result is excellent.
