Default Custom grind cam #'s.

Just got my V back today from modern muscle. On a custom grind cam I made 440 whp and 385 tq. I will post a vid when i get a chance.
Mods:
Intake
self ported TB
kooks headers with no cats
corsa exhausted modified with x-pipe.
custom grind cam with all the accesories springs, rods water pump etc.
25% under drive pulley
Monster stage 3 with light weight flywheel
g-force axles.

The car just roasts the new 275 i put out back, and the car sounds mean as hell!

big thanks to all the guys at modern muscle!

Those are wicked good numbers, what kind of dyno and can you provide any details of your cam specs?

And what do you mean by water pump ? did you get a electric?

I ordered the cam, headers and clutch back in early feburary. I just wanted it to be nice out here in chicago before i got all the work done.
I love both my evo and my V, but my evo will murder my v. Though i must say the V does sound nicer.

It was done on a dynojet( how it compares to other dynos i dont Know. I know the dyno at AMS where i get my evo worked on reads low compared to other dyno jet #'s) . I dont know how the guys at modern muscle feel about giving out cam specs. I told them what i wanted, and they custom grinded me a cam and I love it! I know some shops are very hush hush, while others are very open about giving cam specs. Size wise its similar to a MS3 cam.
BY etc. I mean ported water pump, HO oil pump, double roller chain, plugs, msd wires etc.

damm what the hell does your evo have for mods?

Cause from a roll the V must be a monster now.

Can you at least share the lift ?

The evo has alot done. Last year at 560 whp it went 10.59 @ 133

Lift on both the intake and exhaust is over 600. The cam is similar to a MS3.

The MS3 is the texas speed and performance magic stick 3. I told the guys at modern muscle i was shooting for 450. They told me they never heard of an ls6 V making near that. They thought at most i would be around 420's. They were also surpised with the power it put out. To that run they added 1 degree of timing at peak torque went up to 390 but the hp dropped to 335 and was a bit lean. My stock injectors are maxed out at this point.

I got the car used with a corsa cat back and the k&n intake. with just those mods i pulled away each gear from 2nd and up on a modded auto t/a ws6, and from 3rd gear roll i pulled about 2-3 cars on a new ss camaro from 65-130.

The MS3 cam is 237/242 .603/.609". That is a much bigger cam than mine in the duration, but my lift is higher. Sounds like he has some advance on the lsa like mine.

. That sounds about right! I pulled about a fender on a new SS camaro from the top of 3rd to mid to low 4th and started pulling pretty good before he let off.. I wanted another run but it was before work! All I have is exhaust. I took off the crappy fabbed CAI because my funnel was to small and choked my engine...

Base line i dont know didnt ask if they dynoed it before and after. I'm guessing 330's or so like other V's. Its a 110 lsa yes with some advance on it too. As soon as i can get to the track i will. I need to get my evo running, i think it has a damaged rear lsd. As soon as that is fixed i will be heading to the track. I will at least need something to get me around If something happens at the track.

If ya want, email me the video. I will blur out the plates. (I do special effect work, won't take much effort).
