Default caliper bracket to abutment thread size

Hey guys,

Im finishing up an LS1 Fbody rear disk swap on my chevelle, and i need to know what the thread size is for the rear caliper bracket to pad abutment.

this is the part that bolts to the backing plate and houses the pads, then the caliper fastens to that.

is it an M10x1.5? i tried a 7/16-14 bolt, and it fits sloppy, so im assuming that its metric, and possibly M10?

it would be the thread size for the two outer most holes...

thanks

aaron

Its a metric, high strength, washer head, hex bolt. You can get them from the dealer. Given that these bolts take all of the stress of braking, I wouldn't trust any other hardware.

While you have that off, you can to go RMS Auto Parts and get new rubber boots for the parking brake levers. (They are the only supplier any one has been able to find.)

Not when I looked. You can get them from any GM dealership and they aren't too expensive. (They are on par for what Fastenal would gouge you for on a special bolt.)
