Gearing question
Ok Im a newb to gearing so can some one explain gearing to me?
Im going to guess that 4.10 has a better low end torque and Hp
And 2.73 are better for the Middle and High end torque
and 3.73 are good for both sides.
Am I right? Are am I way off?

Horsepower doesn't change,an insignificant change that can be disregarded. gears change torque to carrier.
4.10s' have more torque to carrier than 3.73s' when in same transmission gear.
3.73s' have more torque to carrier than 2.73s' when in same transmission gear.
I suspect your 'low end, middle, and high end torque' that you might be referring to speed.
What is it that you want to accomplish ?

You do not mention if you have an Automatic, or a Stick shift, if you do have an Automatic transmission, couple the 3.73 gears to a 3600 stall, and you will see quite an improvement in performance.
