power steering not smooth as it should be
I definitely did this myself...
i had a tie rod disconnected doing my lower control arms and changing the dust boots. With the car off the ground, I pushed/pulled one of the sides of the rack (being lazy instead of turning the wheel) to straigthen the wheel out.
I put it all back together and went for a drive. I immediately noticed that i had this vauge feeling in the steering. The car goes straight fine, but in turns sometimes feels like it's a little stiff and then comes back. hard to explain the sensation, but it is not smooth. Feels more like something is missing.
So I tried to get the air out following the service manual procedure, it helped but i never got back to original smoothness. Any ideas?
