Default 4l80 swap, have a few questions

I think my DS is to short what do yall think? lol








Also what size and thread count is the nut that goes on the gear selector shaft?

How many inches engagement is needed?

when i built mine i was told 2 inches of slip at ride height.

It maybe ok then, the rear is just hanging and the output shafts sticks out of the tail about 5/8"

the way i checked mine was when the rear joint is all the way seated (with weight on the rear end, jack it up if you have to) use a sharpie and mark where the seal is touching the yoke. then pull it out and measure from the mark to the end and add whatever is sticking out if its sticking in 1 and 1/2 inches past the seal and you have 5/8 sticking out past the seal you should be fine.

My dana 60 required a shorter drive shaft. 4l80 is not supposed to but guess that might depend on length of front yoke you use??

It is a strange yoke, basicilly just copied what MightyMouse did when ordering parts.
