Default Advice on underdrive pully & cam

I have a 2001 LS1. I have the fast 92 intake and throttle body ( not on car yet ) I am thinking of just doing a cam and springs upgrade and a ls6 ported oil pump, ls2 water pump and am curious of the underdrive pullys. Is it worth it and what cam would give me a reliable cam for track and daily driving.
thanks for any advice in advance

check TSP for their cam kit ,cam/springs/push rods.pulley swap is a good idea.what gears, transmission, exhaust system do you have?how many miles on the motor?a 224 cam is good for a A4 stock stall.if you have a M6 the 228 cam is great.more infor, more advice.take your time ,read a lot of threads decide what you want to do.

SLP is the best-also called the powerbond I believe. You will need new belts,a Chrysler puller and might be a good idea to get the asp resusable crank bolt. Expect a tenth and a MPH on a car like yours

Like the others have stated, if you're doing the cam swap it's worth the $200 for an underdrive pulley. Might squeeze 5 - 10 rwhp out of it and most report gains of a tenth + 1 mph in the quarter.

Since you have a M6 the charging issues should be a non-issue.

I put a powerbond on my old cammed LS6 setup, there was a definite gain. Do yourself a favor and go out and find a piece of threaded rod the same as the crank bolt and make yourself an install tool, I did for like 10$ and it made my life so much easier. No worry about stripped threads.

M16 x 2.0 is the stock thread. I tapped mine out even larger and installed mine with a stud.

Thanks, I couldn't remember the thread off the top of my head. I still have the tool I made, 5 fender washers, a nut, and an acorn nut on top to tighten it in with. Worked like a charm.

under the car there is the frame rails that run front to back, there is a kit you can get that basically hug the rails and bolt on both sides. Gives it way more rigidity.

Powerbond 25% UD (makes the SLP pulley).

I'd really recommend/prefer the Fluidampr, but it's only available in a factory and 10% UD sizes, no 25% UD size.
