Default A.I.R. Pump

my air pump maybe going out cause when the car has been sitting for about 45min to a hour after its been ran on start up it sounds like a spaceship or something for a min before the sound goes away. is the air pump needed on the cars? can i delete it or will it mess up my egr system?

tho i see you are living in the wonderful land of california.....so this option may not be possible due to the inspections you must suffer thru..id get block of plates and sandwich them between the air tubes on the manifolds and egr then turn the codes off that way everything appears to be "tree friendly"

you can yank the 30a fuse for the air pump, no need to block off the tubes you have check valves.

My check valves went to ****...the block offs would be the next best option there's no chance they will leak unlike the valves...the fuse would be easiest...

wouldn't you still need to have it tuned out so it doesn't throw a code?

We're in California man, you gotta leave that stuff intact. Even if you were to tune the stuff out, wouldn't the smog machine notice that was done?
