Will this require retuning immediately, or will I be OK for the time being. Swapping form LS4 intake to LS1. I have all parts ready to go and should put down about 300hp

26#'s are perfectly adequate for that power but they are a direct swap so why not run the the 28's????? Is the car already tuned for the 26's??????

LS4 5.3's come with 28lb EV2 injctors stock. I bought some used LS1 injectors, thinking that they were all 28lb only to find out later that they were 26lb. I have a LS6 fuel rail and pig tail adapters. I will switch to 28lb injectors later. I just want to run what I have. I would use my stock injectors but they are to short and the LS4 fuel rail don't fit the LS1 intake.

do you know what year Fbody the LS1 injectors came from? 26s will still be fine though you won't notice a difference. The only drawback is that the 26s will maybe be running 5% harder
