Stick with the ls6. The extra HP you make up top will not be worth the torque you lost down low.

Its not "political" at all, its hard to read. I didint read through any of your combination because of it. Your the one being a *****, there is no reasont to type in all caps. Just turn it off and it will never be an issue.

You have to remember that a single plane intake needs a cam designed for it (more overlap). If you get a proper cam with the single plane you will not loose torque, you will gain everywhere.
Remember also, the elbow and LS style throttle body will be a restriction. A 4150 4 BBL type throttle body is the best way to go with a single plane.

Typically more overlap also results in losses on the low end also. I agree a bigger cam will match with the victor better, but youll give up low end for big ends still.

Um, no. Changing your LSA from 114° to 110° will move the torque much lower in the rpm band. I am not talking about much bigger lobe duration.

and basing on the fact that he has a 4 gallon fuel cell and 28" slicks, he's not daily driving the car and torque doesnt matter.

buy something you can grow into, get the victor jr and a 4500tb.

ask this same question in the drag race section and you'll get compleatly different answers.

Its funny, now that I read ALL CAPS LIST he has a terribly mismatched combo. Actually, nothing says mis-matched combination like stock 241 heads. And who knows on the cam, a name like "GX500GT version 3.2 terminator" means nothing, it must be big it has a "5" in it!!!!. You have to put up specs for us to able to help you, along with not type in caps

He also needs to read my sig.....How can he not have done heads by now??

Unless there are rules in some racing sanction requiring stock heads, he has a mismatched combo.

Specs on the cam from LG motorspots web site G5X2: 232/240 .595/.608 112-114 lsa

Marco you should be fine with either setup, it would just depend on your goals and what you want to do with the car. Like what couple other people have said grow into the setup. It might be better to post another thread in drag racing section to get some more thoughts on max effort set up on cam only car. I think most "cam only" list cars are running ported fasts setups if I'm not mistaken.

Btw how is the progress coming along on the car?

what about the edelbrock performer mani. it shouldnt NEED as an aggressive cam cuz its a dual plane and should have a lower rpm range, but still have great flow #'s. i think its physically shorter too (not 100% sure) making more room for TB options.
