Lt1 Th350 owners? I have a FMVB is delayed shift normal?
Didnt get much replys in the automatic forum, so figured I'd give you Lt1 th350 owners a try. I think I have heard of people dealing with this. Anyhow I just now did my m6 to th350(foward manual valve body) swap. I took it for a drive and there is definantly a delay from 1 to 2 at partial throttle. I can't remember if it did it at WOT. Is this normal at partial throttle if so would the delay be normal at WOT as well? My car made 403rwhp with my m6 and 9" rear and I will be adding 150 shot of nitrous but am afraid my th350 is messed up. So thanks for any help you can give.

Checked fluid level and it was good. Took another ride and partial throttle from 1-2 shift definantly has a delay. At WOT it is hard to tell if the 1-2 shift has a delay. The rpms don't seem to be dropping much at all if it does shift but it may not because of the high stall converter. I don't know this sucks

What size stall you running? I am running a 5000rpm and the 2-3 shift feels soft but I dont think its hurting me any. The 1-2 shift part throttle is super firm and wot it doesnt bang but you can feel it when it goes in gear. What kind of valve body are you running? Also is this for a drag only car? Last time I drained my tranny I put in Hy gaurd fluid in it and that seemed to tighten it up a bit like it should.

I have a 3800 stall. When I shift from 1st to 2nd I sometimes have to wait 4 seconds before it shifts. If I don't wait I will hit my rev limiter. This can't be normal. What would cause this?
Also I am not sure what brand FMVB I have. Would that matter?

Haha. I just didn't know if that would actually slow down the 1-2 shift. I bought it from somebody and cannot remember what brand. But if it really can mess with the shifting I'll buy a good brand and put it in myself. Is that possible or is there special tools?

The brand shouldn't really matter. It's more or less the quality and function. You can probably tackle it yourself, there are no special tools required from what I remember for a valve-body. Just take a look at one of those TH350 rebuild books. They are pretty simple.

Gregrob, seriously its time to grow up. I already called my transmission builder and he has not gotten back with me. So I am on this forum trying to get help and these people are trying to do just that. So I'll take any help they give me, especially since I paid the tranmission guy $550 to rebuild my transmission. So now I am making sure there is nothing else that I can do myself before I take it to another transmission guy and spend more money.
So if you don't want to help leave my threads alone!!!
