Default T-Top pieces (2x at front and rear)

I saw a thread about them loooooong long ago and I couldn't find it...

Does anyone know the names/part numbers for the 2 little plastic/rubber pieces that slip inbetween the center T-top rail and the T-tops themselves at the front and the back of the T-top center section (the black piece)

I took mine off in the back because someone had jacked it up putting the tops back on and it was useless. What purpose do these even serve? If it's to keep rain and water out then I will absolutely replace it, but if it's just a "looks" thing, I can do without i suppose.

Thanks,

Adam

When you say it was messed up, how bad are we talking? Just bent/crushed, or actually torn?

One of mine was folded and bent, to the point where I thought it was trashed. I let it sit in full sun for a few hours and it actually popped back into it's original shape. If it's torn though, then yeah it's garbage.

I don't know the part number, but any GM dealer should be able to get this for you, assuming it's not dis'coed yet.

I think they just sit in... no glue or snapping them in.

Might you have a pic of these parts numbers? It looks like this is them based on all of the links google brings up when searched, but I can't verify with a picture...

I thought it was beyond fixing so I tossed it... Didn't even think to let the sun cure it back to shape. Do you know the use of these pieces?

Official GM Part numbers:

Front Seal: 10248550
Rear Seal: 10248551

And FYI the best way to buy them is from the dealer. You have to buy them in packs of 10 for $10, but it's cheaper than GMPartsdirect after their shipping.

is that really how cheap those are? i saw a front/rear set on ebay for $20

actually, i just found a brand new set for $7.95

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/93-02...Q5fAccessories

I've had mine come off once or twice and actually just moved them to a different t-top center piece a few weeks ago. I usually use super glue. I tried jb weld but that didn't seem to hold as well as superglue. the last time i glued them they held for about 3 years and the only reason the rear one came loose was because the bar was off for a repaint of the roof panel behind the t-tops. They are on there ok now but i might order a new set eventually.
