GTO Salvage Resale Value
I am considering buying a 2005 GTO with minor damage, I just want the engine and trans. I was wondering what the rest might sell for and if it were better to sell it part by part or whole? Thanks for any input.

It looks like it has black interior? I've seen the front seats go for around $5oo on schke-bay, and I know a guy who put an '04 drivetrain, electrical, radiator, seats, fuel pump/line, and was attempting to put the gauge cluster in his nova - sold the rest for around $1k. I'd say that's a pretty safe bet. I'd love to find one of those for my '66 - haven't found a 6-speed close-by yet.

Just did the same thing... It really depends on what you get the car for. $8400 is way too much for a salvaged car. 6K or less would be OK.

I gave $4,500 for a 2006 with 20K. It was hit pretty hard in front but nothing I wanted was damaged. It was basically OK from the cowl back. I sold the rear clip, doors and interior for $2,000. Shiping was the main problem. I could have parted it out for more but looking at the big picture, I had a very cheap drop out.
