Default Questions about gauges.

First off let me say if this is in the wrong section i apologize, i didnt know if i should put it in here or in the appearance and detailing section.

Now onto the question, I have a 95 transam with the older style odometer and the fatter gauge needles. I was wondering if one of the newer style gauge clusters with the digital odometers and skinny needles would fit in and plug and play. Didn't know if being OBDI or OBDII played a role in this.
Thank you
Justin

The 97 cluster is a direct replacement with the digital odometer. 98+ will not swap because they use serial data instead of analog signals.

I'm currently going to do this swap, I was confused too, I had read that you needed to do wiring, and I also read that it was pop in. I got a 97 cluster, and it poped right in, everything works, the only thing is on mine the traction controll light stays on, and the odo will read what the old car had on it, not what yours has on it now. I'm going to get the odo calibrated though.

Hope this helps!
