Need help with my norwegian 383 build
After trying to get a setup for a ls1 383 h/c/i that I could buy from two of the sponsors here I give up.
I have noticed that there are some very knowable members here that I suppose could give me some good advice.
I have a almost stock ls1 5.7 with hooker headers on.
4l60e trans and a 8.5 10 bolt rear axle.
1972 Chevrolet Camaro RS (=no emission worries)
This is my DD in the summer.
I want a reliable ,street/track engine with a good mpg.
I want to do a stroker 383 with new heads ,cam an intake.
Wanted RWHP is 450-500 with good street driveabillity.
CAN SOMEBODY PLEASE HELP ME.
If someone have some good parts to sell I will be happy to take a look at it.

AFR 215 head/cam combo, contact Tony Mamo at AFR.or look at a trick flow head/cam combo from vengeance racing.go to their websites and decide what works best for you.go to the dyno section to see what it takes to make the power you want.

the 383 will make more torque than a 346.I would look for a used fast 92 intake ,the fast 102 mite gain 10 hp more.the eagle crank will handle alot more than stock crank if it is a 5140 ,or 5340.if you research and shop around I feel you can make this build fit your budget.consider the TSP website when looking at a 383 long block or short block.

let me ask you a couple questions. do you have a machine shop in your area of Norrway?
Let's say you purchase a complete rotating assembly, you will still need machine work to get your block true and make sure your deck height is correct to get your compression ratio where you want it. If you don't have a reputable shop in your area you should really consider a long or short block. And since you are looking at heads also the long block would be better, That way they measure for push rod length use the correct head gasket to set your compression where you want it. I assume since you are running a
4L60E and you are asking about a fast intake you have a tuner picked out over there or you will be tuning it yourself. Once you answer a couple more questions I could make some more suggestions.
