Default Got a scenario here but is it worth it?

Alright, as some of you know I just got another T/A, a 95 6 speed with 3.42 gears. I plan on installing 4.10's in this car later.
The other T/A I have, a 93 auto, has 3.23 gears. This is the car in my sig.
I have to remove the rear on the 95 to replace the super low lowering springs to something that sits higher so I was wondering if it would be worth the time to go ahead and put the 3.42 rear in the auto car and just use the 3.23 rear for the 4.10's. Are there any differences at all in the 93 and 95 rears? Would this be worth the time? I dont mind doing the work.
I hope I didnt confuse you lol. You might have to read this post twice.
Thanks.

not sure why you'd want 3.23 gears in an M6, unless yur goin for a 200mph run ...I assume you drive the '93 more?

I knew it'd be confusing lol.
I would be doing this while Im putting 4.10's in the 95 6 speed.
200 mph would be cool too lol!

Yea then, I'd do it. Idk why it wouldn't work...someone else can chime in if they think it wouldn't...the only thing that comes to mind is '93 oddball year of different tranny and gearing options (not sure why it would affect this though, as they had the same rear ends IIRC)

Put the 3.42 rear in the 93 and re-gear the 3.23 rear and run it in your 95, that way your upgrading two vehicles.

You got it. I just wanted to see if its worth the minimal difference and if there would be any slight improvement. Anyone went from 3.23 to 3.42 before?

Why would you remove the rear end to swap springs?

If you jack up the back of the car you can literally just rip the springs out.....A spring swap on the rear can be done in five minutes.

I'd say the 3.42 gear swap would be worth it. To me, I drive my car on the highway enough to semi-regret having my 3.73's. I think the 3.42's would be the perfect fit on the auto for performance but still getting decent mileage

All you have to do is disconnect the shocks from the mount, lower the rear a few more inches than if it was hanging, and the springs fall out. Literally.
