Got a scenario here but is it worth it?
Alright, as some of you know I just got another T/A, a 95 6 speed with 3.42 gears. I plan on installing 4.10's in this car later.
The other T/A I have, a 93 auto, has 3.23 gears. This is the car in my sig.
I have to remove the rear on the 95 to replace the super low lowering springs to something that sits higher so I was wondering if it would be worth the time to go ahead and put the 3.42 rear in the auto car and just use the 3.23 rear for the 4.10's. Are there any differences at all in the 93 and 95 rears? Would this be worth the time? I dont mind doing the work.
I hope I didnt confuse you lol. You might have to read this post twice.
Thanks.

Yea then, I'd do it. Idk why it wouldn't work...someone else can chime in if they think it wouldn't...the only thing that comes to mind is '93 oddball year of different tranny and gearing options (not sure why it would affect this though, as they had the same rear ends IIRC)

I'd say the 3.42 gear swap would be worth it. To me, I drive my car on the highway enough to semi-regret having my 3.73's. I think the 3.42's would be the perfect fit on the auto for performance but still getting decent mileage
