FAST 90 Intake to 102 Intake ,Thoughts?

i think there was a test done already on here, vengeance did it maybe. but they switched from a ported 92 to a ported 102 with the same 92mm TB, and picked up 8hp, so theres no telling if you also go with the 102 (hear theyre hard to tune....idk!)
also to remember, the 92/92s flow around 280cfm(iirc) so even if you do have heads that flow 320...the 102 still might hold you back....idk, it was an interesting pat g read...

We picked up 10 rwhp on my 440 when we put the 102 on with the 90mm TB. We may get a little more with the 102mm TB but who knows. I'll post up in a couple of weeks when it's done.

From what I've read, you should see some gains. The 102 repsonds better to larger cubes, if you gained 20 from an ls6 to a 90, then another 15-20 from a 90 to a 102 seems possible. Plus you could sell your 90/90 to make it worth it.

I would have thought the same thing but that doesn't seem to be the case. Seems people are only gaining a few hp form the fast 90mm to the fast 102mm. I do agree with you though. Isn't the opening of the LS6 intake a 78mm? But they are totaly different designs to.

switching the intake alone, and sticking with the same 90mm tb is pointless. you may see a few hp just from the throat of the TB opening being bigger, but the runners and such are nearly identical.
