Run the 503. I ran it for 2 years and loved it. 355ci, full bolt-ons, cam only and a 6 speed I made 351rwhp and 356rwtq. Loved the power curve and the drive ability.
I've heard nothing but good things from anyone that runs the 503. I haven't heard any response about the 846.

these cheap ones Im not building a drag car its a DD http://www.jegs.com/i/Comp+Cams/249/1418-16/10002/-1 only im getting them from D&E they dot have a online catalog yet but there cheaper so is the cam
You're also using a terribly cheap stall which will probably kill the trans in short order. But if it's just a toy and you have another car to drive if it dies, by all means go ahead.

I have the cc503 and like it! sounds good. I have not really gotten to appreciate the power gain b/c i still have the stock tune.
It put down 290rwhp/302rwtq with everything in my sig. Keep in mind this is the bone stock tune. Is it robbing me of that much???
not trying to your thread OP..

$400 for your tranny sounds a whole lot like a bone stock overhaul with a few important steps missing.
At the moment, your eyes are a bunch bigger than your budget. If you want to avoid reliability problems, scale back now.

yup its quite big but i had plans for bigger heads.TBH driveability isnt really that good with this cam. since plans changed i saved the heads for my 383 block, and now im actually in the process to swap cams to the CC503 so i could drive my car to work from time to time like i used to. im pretty much done now, im only waiting for my OTVC from CCPerformance and ill be ready to fire her up in about few days
