Paging those who have removed the factory grille
If you didn't put on an aftermarket grille, what did you do about the mounting holes left open on the front?
Do aftermarket grilles use these same mounting holes? Can you fill the holes with something and paint over them?

You should do a search for "grill" because this is a consistent topic here

Most aftermarket grills use sticky adhesive tape. If you don't want an aftermarket grill, you can have your holes filled by a paint/body shop!

The Billet style grill uses 4 screws that comes with it. You can not see the factory holes once applied. So It's no bother to fill them if u plan on installing the billet grill insert. By the way. Please paint flat black paint behind the billet grill. A lot of people with cars other than black do not paint behind it. Trust me. looks hella better painted behind it.

so you think painting the area behind it black looks a lot better, but is it going to cost a lot to do it in a body shop, or is there a cheaper way to do it?

It shouldn't cost much to just have that area blackened. It looks way better when you don't see the mounting brackets and crap.

The grille mounting holes in mine are filled and painted. I have some aluminum mesh in the nostrils... The mesh started life as a long strip of leaf gaurd for gutters on a house. It was like $2 for a strip at the hardware store. Another thing that sticks out if you don't have a grille is the styrofoam bumper that is visible in the nostrils. I painted mine flat black so that it would 'disappear'.
If you get the holes filled, you/they MUST use flexible plastic body filler. The nose, primer, and paint are all flexible. If the filler is not flexible, it will crack and/or fall out quickly.
