Default 1995 Z28 with SS hood, able to make functional?

I have a 95 Z28 with an aftermarket SS hood, I was wondering if there is a way to make it functional, and if so, what are your suggestions. Any help is better than none, thanks.

The best functionality is to use it as a source of cool air to cool the engine bay, not to use it as an intake. A CAI is less expensive and works better. The factory SS airbox assembly is becoming increasingly rare and increasingly more expensive.

thanks for the help, I was looking at the factory airbox and you are right, it's really pricey and I didn't know if it would be worth it. I think I will just use it as a source of air and move on to bigger things lol.
