Just bore it out to an LS1 piston size. You would have more variety to pic from, and they might be cheaper too. Go on to a more popular vender and they might even have some off the shelf pistons to match the rods you have.

You might as well go ls1 bore ^^^. Its the same block that everyone bores out to 3.898 to make iron 5.7's.

If you're set on the factory piston, a 2007+ 5.3 replacement piston will be the same style - flat top. But if you go that route (if available) make sure to verify its a flat top before buying.

I'm not sure what you're meaning by this. He's wanting a .060 over piston. The 4.8 is the exact same bore as the 5.3.

Yes, I understood that. An aftermarket replacement piston is usually available oversize. I should have been clearer. 4.8 pistons are hard to find.

Either way, if he's looking for cubes, or cleaning up something bad, the ls1 bore is the best option IMO.

The LS1 bore is good, but could you go out to the 4.00" bore of the 6.0L? That would allow you to run L92 heads, and there are plenty of pistons available for the 4" bore as well.
