Gear choice... Read Stickys n searched Well heres another gear thread. I'm basically looking to do gears in my 99 TA. Its still got the stock 10 bolt in the rear with 3.42 M6. I'm full bolt ons and looking to possibly get a cam in the future. I also have a 75 shot of spray. Car is running on 17x10.5 rims 315 sumitomos. I use my car as a DD most of my racing is done on the street but I also go to the 1/4 every so often. My thing is I don't want to be running out of gear at the 1/4. I torn between 3.73s and 4.10s. I thought about 3.90s for a while but they are more expensive and also I read in the sticky that you need a different rear end for those so basically 4.10s or 3.73s. I know the rpm in 6th gear with 4.10s is pretty decent so I'm not too worried about that just like I said my 1/4 mile running out of gear what do you guys recommend?

In a driver id get 3.73's honestly.
I was unaware you couldnt use 3.90's in a stock 10 bolt? Ill have to look into that.
I bought 3.42's my car is a 2.73 car and after finding out how much it takes to change them I think im going to sell the 3.42 set and go for the 3.73
