Which Heads?
Ok, im deployed right now to afgan land, but about a month and a half before i left i got my F13 installed in my car along with LS2 chain dual springs and UD pulley, along with a set of 4.10s cause my 3.90s were shot. Anyway, i didnt get a chance to track the car but it went 12.2 at richmond on a warm night, i want deep 11s, and figure i might be in the 11.7 range now, 11.6 at best. The car did 388/385 at VA Speed when Ed tuned the setup. I want to get the most out of it and want to know the absolute best heads to give me the most power. If i gotta save up for the expensive stuff i will. I had a few frineds back home tell me to look at a set of worked over 5.3 heads. I figured too that since the car will definatly be NA i should look at boosting the CR. Any help would be appreciated. If u recommend something please give an explanation as to why so i can understand the advantages. Thanx fellas.

also i guess im lookin for a set of heads that would leave room to grow, later on. Incase i wanted to try a squeeze more power out of them by changing the cam.

im thinkin, should i have done a different cam, or can i still hit 430-450 with a good set of heads. I understand if i was a 6 speed guy i would probabley already of made over 400 and my big *** stall didnt help my numbers, but is it still feesable?

i know i know, and i always told myself they didnt matter, especially being a stalled auto, i would just like to know i was a heavy hitter in the HP department. I havent even run the car at the track with the f13 yet. But i have an idea of the times ill run and they already bore me. If only my wallet could keep up the demands i place on my car and myself! I still want to do a 6pt cage, welds and new interior and know i want heads. Its never ******* ending.

as long as i can hit like an 11.7-.6 then im sure i could maybe push an 11.4 with a stout set of heads, then i need to figure out how to make more power na, maybe a 90/90 setup if i go TFS heads?

Yeah, a 90/90 will definitely make for a nice improvement on a H/C car. Should net you another 15-20 rwhp. You might also consider 1 7/8" headers if you don't have them already. A nice merge collector like a Flowmaster 2-1 merge in your y-pipe (compaired to the usual shitty merges like the Pacesetter Y-pipe) with an electric cutout or going with true duals w/ an X-pipe will also make for some horsepower gains.

i so want true duals, but i have a tunnel mount TA so it will have to be a custom job, but thats ok i guess. im runnin slp LM1, TSP catted-y and pacesetter LTs, i def want to upgrade the whole exhaust to something a little less begginer.SS.SLP.LS1, I need to stay in touch with u, u have alot of good i deas man, and im definatly lookin to squeeze every ounce out of my setup as i can. I really appreciate it!

so i just want to be sure, a milled set of TF 220cc heads would be a good choice for my power goals right? I want the most out of the car i can squeeze. Also assuming i did get a set of heads like that, would i be able to run the stock ls6 intake with no problems for awhile? Im sure the answer is yes to that question, i just want to be sure.

thanx alot fellas, appreciate the feed back. Also, i wass on vengance, and i noticed that they dont even list a 90/90 combo, just 102mm tb and intake. Would that be to big? I know other sites probably have the 90mm i was just so impressed with the price of the heads i wanted to see what they had for prices on the intake.
