Default what kind of muffler is this?

what kinda muffler is this? i dont have a clue what it is. the guy i bought it from said it come off of a 02 ss and that it is a loudmouth. i honestly dont think it is. i bought it for 150. i really only bought it all for the cme tips. can anyone tell me what it is. it is very big and it doesnt have any brand on it or anything. i figured maybe i got lucky and got a loudmouth plus the tips for that cheap. obviously if it is a loudmouth it will go on my car but it will not go on until i find out what it is. someone please give me some good news lol.

Agreed. It either looks homemade, or very cheap. Considering there's no stamp on it, it's definitely not by a big company.

I did some research by looking up camaro mufflers and it looks exactly like the slp muffler that comes factory on 01-02 ss's I found a part number slp 310559100. I Googled the part number and found that it looks exactly what I have. What I don't understand is why they wouldn't stamp it slp. What u guys think about it Google it and see it looks exactly the same.

I couldn't find any other pics. Its hard to tell usually they stamp their name on mufflers. To me the welds look different than most on mufflers.

Yeah it's not a loudmouth. Loudmouth is a bullet style resonator looking thing not a legit muffler like that. I have no idea what brand that is. The exhaust tips look cool though

I now know it is definitely not a lm but it seems to be an slp none the less. Gains up to 8 HP over flowmaster. Still I need definite confirmation. I know someone has seenthis muffler before

Agreed

Great exhaust muffler IMO. I had a dual/dual on my T/A. I really liked it.

It is reletively quiet compared to others, more mellow. It is one of the best flowing mufflers out there.

Look at the seller specials theres some new catback systems for around $400 that are normally a lot more.

I bought a used magnaflow catback for $200 shipped, look for used you might get lucky and get what you actually want.

Why not just use that set-up you pictured? The sound might surprise you. If it isnt loud enough for you get yourself a e-cutout and have the best of both worlds. You should be able to find an e-cutout used, and have it installed for under $200.
