makes it a pain to jack up the rear of the car by the frame, as you would have to remove or at least unmount your exhaust when the axle droops... but it has been done before.

it can be done. but it is more practical to either do a single 4" over the axle(like mine) or dual 3" over the right side with an upper PHB relocation kit. which BMR makes.

look in the true dual sticky for the latter.

Flange the pipes right before the axle and they can be removed in 3-4 minutes. I necked mine down to 2.5 just after my flanges and have plenty of clearance.

I will tell you, it was a pain in the *** if you don't have the pipes flanged.

Any time I jacked the rear of the car up, the axle would just rest on the exhaust, pulling on it. :/

It's worth it to just pay the money and go over the axle.

Is the car lowered? if it is or you plan on it, I would say stick with over the axle.
