Default Stock Appearing Aftermarket Heads

I'm looking to eventually do a head/cam swap for my 98 ws6.

Are there any good aftermarket heads that will bolt-up to my 98 (perimeter bolt) valve covers that look stock?

nope switch to center bolt heads... better options.... and most ppl look for casting numbers in the lsx world sooo best bet is to get some 243's and say its a stock head car... be they are stock.... just stock on a vette or gto... just bc there ported doesnt mean there aftermarket heads

If you want to stay stock appearing for um.. deceptive reasons.. you are going to have to stay with your 806's and have them ported. You can gain some great power that way. Otherwise you have to go with different valve covers as mentioned above too. PM'd you about some options etc..

Will my stock coils bolt-up to the center bolt heads?

I don't think the brackets are interchangeable.

Send your stockers to Patriot or another sponsor for CNC porting. Patriot charges ~600 That way its the VERY same heads that came off your car and no one is the wiser. Plus you save some cash in the end.

Then use one of the sleeper cams out there for a stock idle Bingo ~400whp+ in a package that sounds/looks stock. Thunder Racing has a few "cheater" cams and PatG has a really good one. All are designed for stock exhaust but will benefit from headers/ORY.

Anyone the knows to look for the 98=center bolt stock, and the bolt on coils. Over having the coils on brakets, in your car is a 98 to think somthing is up. Is gona know to look for other things, and find them. if the car is fast to trick them over that. high 12??? lol
How fast is your car gona run? keep it on manifolds, and stock catback. Keep the airtubes, egr and ****, AC, put tracion contrail just so you have the cables running over the motor. And it looks like a stock LS1 to anyone. But you can have a dry kit, intake, TB, stealth cam (raise the idle, with stock catback you can hide alot) good heads, compression.

I wouldn't run a CNC program meant for 243's or the like through a set of 241/853/806 heads. You can't do the same roof line. It will either hit water or be too thin under the spring pocket.

I believe Patriot has a program for the earlier heads, they said the 853 heads on my early 2000 Z would not be a problem. Doesn't hurt to ask if they still have the program available.

Remember they do 5.3 heads, LS1, LS6, 6.0 and L92's heads so im sure they have multiple programs they can run.
