Interesting Show on TV
Was watching a show called "Two Guy's Garage" last night. They took a new crate LS1 put a "Comp Cam Package" and a "FAST" Intake on it. They took it to the engine dyno and got 395 HP.... And that 395 HP was made through stock exhaust manifolds and stock pcm tuning. AMAZING!

I have seen the program and here is some more information on this week's show http://www.twoguysgarage.com/thisweek/. Now if I can figure if it will be shown on cable again this week. Thanks for the "heads up."

For Cable Viewers who receive the Speed Network Channel, the program will be repeated at 10:00 am EST and 9:00 am CST. Since I've done the cam and springs on my LQ4 engine (wonderful improvement), I'm interested to see how these guys do it. I'm also interested to see how the HP/Torque software works.

I wan't very impressed with their numbers at all. Put their combo in front of a 4l60 and a 10 bolt and you'll be putting about 330 to the wheels.I can guarantee they went weenie with their cam.Their are stock F-Bodies laying down numbers in the 320s at the wheels.
As far as that dyno software was concerned. It wasn't at all accurate because all they did was select "High Flow Single Plane" for the FAST intake. I do not know if they have provisions in the software to input your own manifolds. I'd like to get some hands on time with it.

I noticed too on the dyno software they were using the old sbc350 specs rather than the ls1 346ci.
They also only ran it up to 6100rpms. If it was any kind of cam, it should have kept pulling past that with that intake and the ls1 heads.
I wasn't impressed either though ... seems like they were reading a manual while doing this. No computer tuning either. The guy at the dyno said they needed to get a 'race computer' or something like that.
